Snap(chat) a Selfie, Johnson
Feeling trendy? Johnson Space Center, the home of human space exploration, is now home to three new Snapchat filters!
The filters are part of the Giant Leaps Start Here campaign, which was launched at Johnson’s Open House and has garnered attention across the city. The campaign points to the near-term achievements that we will complete with the International Space Station, Commercial Crew and Orion programs, highlights our future lunar endeavors and reminds us of our rich history of exploration.
These snap filters are fun for the public during tram tours from Space Center Houston and give employees the opportunity to show off where they work!
"I grew up in Houston, so space has always been a part of my identity," said Will Hopkins, a Program Analyst for the Gateway Schedule Integration Team. "I love getting to see this renewed excitement for human space exploration across the city and Snapchat is another way to engage the public and to help tell our story using a popular platform."
The filters feature NASA's Orion Spacecraft and the International Space Station. For more information on Giant Leaps Start Here and to download posters and screensavers for all your devices, click here.
